Service Centers

The service centers are autonomous organizations charged with complying with the accessibility requirements of their facilities and sites. A customer with disabilities seeking service at a specific service center should contact the service center to obtain information on accessibility.

 

Accessible Customer Service

Employee training on accessible service – training is provided for introducing the issue of accessibility, to create awareness among the employees and to provide hands-on skills for providing accessible service.

Accessible call center – the voice response has been made accessible, such that the information is provide clearly, free of background music.

Internet Website Accessibility

An accessible Internet website is one that enables persons with disabilities and senior citizens to browse the site with the same ease, efficiency and pleasure as any other browser. Approximately 20 to 25 percent of all people have difficulties in using the Internet and could benefit from better-accessible Internet content – according to a study conducted by Microsoft in 2003.

Information on Website Accessibility

  • This website is compliant with the requirements of the Equal Rights for People with Disabilities regulations (Adaptations for Service Accessibility), 5773-2013.
  • The accessibility adaptations have been done in accordance with the recommendations in Israeli Standard SI 5568 regarding accessibility to Internet content, Grade AA and the international WCAG2.0 document.
  • The tests were for compliance with the highest possible accessibility level for the Chrome browser.
  • The website provides a semantic structure for assistive technologies and supports the common practice for operation via a keyboard using the arrow keys, the Enter and Esc keys to access and exit menus and windows.
  • Adapted for display on the commonly-used browsers and for use on a mobile device.
  • To achieve the optimal browsing experience using a screen reader program, we recommend using the most recent version of the NVDA program.
